TAKE ME is an eight-page comic written by Whitney with art by Dean that explores themes of alienation and connection. Published by Bad Idea, it was released in January 2023 in comics shops nationwide.

LOOK!

Produced in cooperation with the award-winning independent creative company Mother, LOOK! is an educational activity book for kids ages 5-10 created by Whitney and Dean.

LOOK! emphasizes observation techniques, storytelling and community. Released in fall 2022, the book has been used as a classroom tool in Brooklyn elementary schools.

DENNY BARRACUDA

Who on earth is Denny Barracuda? William has no idea, but he's about to let her into his apartment after spending eight months in quarantine.

This short film adaptation of the play was written by Whitney and co-produced by Dean. Directed and edited by Shannon Goldman. Starring Madeleine Morrell and Lawrence Trailer. Cinematography by Noah Yuan-Vogel. Sound by Ian Hunter. A Nightwork Studio and Super G Films production.

RUDY + CAMILLE

Written by Dean and Whitney, RUDY + CAMILLE is a psychedelic rom-com that chronicles two office mates who spend most of their time pontificating and pawing at each other instead of preventing the impending apocalypse.

This reading/performance featured actors Sharief Johnson (Rudy), Morgan Lennon (Camille) and Adam Files (Narrator) and cameos by Jason Goungor, Terah Burnett and Jonathan Ames. It was presented as part of The Tank’s DarkFest.

Co-juried by Dean and Whitney, this exhibition celebrated the diverse ways cartoonists utilize the real estate of the blank page.

Written and directed by Dean, THERE IS NO TRY is a short film starring Conrad Hall and Lauren Messina. It premiered in June 2022.

Synopsis: Having avoided all spoilers, a passionate moviegoer seeing The Empire Strikes Back for the first time is confronted by a contentious concession clerk.

DENNY BARRACUDA

In 2021, Nightwork Studio presented DENNY BARRACUDA at The Brick Theater. Written by Whitney and featuring artwork by Dean, the one-act play follows an artist who has been quarantined in his apartment for a year. When he calls upon the services of someone named Denny Barracuda, he doesn't know what he's in for.

Whitney and Dean reunited with the play’s director, Shannon Goldman, and actors Madeleine Morrell and Lawrence Trailer to produce a short film version of DENNY BARRACUDA. The film premiered in 2022.

Dean & Whitney co-edited the Ringo Award-nominated PANDEMIX: QUARANTINE COMICS IN THE AGE OF ‘RONA, a benefit anthology featuring 19 cartoonists. It was released in July 2020.
